![]() There comes a point where I'm thinking of this like how Attrition for Titanfall 1 was made, where you can kill pilots for more bigger points and their titans for bigger points, but the players who aren't so good at that can focus on the smaller enemies like the NPC grunts and get points on their own helping their team in their own way. The team that reaches 50 (or 100) cores wins, and each upgrade of 10 brings better weapons and turrets to spawn and defend the cores, albeit those turrets are easy to destroy like in that Halo 4 mode Dominion. Players holding 2 point cores only show up on radar all the time even when standing still but there's no notification as to where they are visually, and 1 point cores do not change player behavior on radar or visually. Some major changes would be only players holding 3 point cores should be highlighted to everyone else, that way teammates can come in and help a teammate pulling a 3 point core, or in reverse enemies can block a player holding one and steal it for themselves. The Regular 2 point cores are dropped on the points next to each base where they normally do in stockpile, but you have smaller darker 1 point cores scattered around the map guiding players towards the enemy pile encouraging teams to push and steal cores. The bright 3 point cores hold the most points and are at the center of the map, so each team can equally get to the center and get the 3 point cores. In fact the whole mode needs to be changed, it should be a general score with different colored cores you can pick up, one point is the darker looking core, 2 points is a regular core, 3 points is a bright core. Instead of having rounds when one team scores an objective where the previous cores disappear, they should instead always be able to be stolen even after scoring a point. Stockpile should have been, as the name suggests, a stockpile of resources. As a great man once said, "If it's not fun, why bother?" But all it is at the moment is a barrier to CTF and fun. I'm open to them experimenting with a new game mode and trying new revisions. something? Give more context to why we should care about grabbing these batteries. What if the batteries had use? What if they powered defenses, turrets, shields. The time it takes to steal a battery should be shortened, as it stands now, the only team that can bother stealing is the team that's already dominating. For starters, having the batteries scattered throughout the map would be a good change. Since I doubt 343 would ever get rid of the mode I've wondered what changes would make it at least a bit more interesting. And even if it ends up being a "good match" it still is nowhere near enjoyable. Most of the time matches are very one-sided, typically the team who wins the first round wins the match. I wish 343 would just drop this game mode as it's just not fun. Especially when all my friends and I want is to play BTB CTF and we get nothing but stockpile over and over. Gonna copypasta my response from a different thread here:Ībsolutely awful game mode.
